The Miners Cottage Complex

Staying at the Miners Cottage is to enjoy a uniquely Australian rural experience. The Miners Cottage is situated at the edge of the South Australian wine region the Barossa Valley, a region that can boast making a large portion of Australia’s finest premium wines. The region is steeped in the history of its founding pioneers and presents an abundant opportunity to taste at some of Australia’s most iconic wine companies cellar doors. Add to that some excellent restaurants, all with a wine focus, a wonderful farmers’ market and plenty of good shopping, especially well-priced antiques, vintage clothing and books.

The Miners Cottage complex includes The Miners Cottage Barn and The Miners Cottage Lavender Cabin can accommodate a maximum of six persons with three double bedrooms with queen size beds, one of which can be split into two single beds. Three couples can enjoy completely independent privacy and enjoy the communal areas of the cottage and of course the lap pool and entertainment area around the pool. Each section of the Miners Cottage accommodation is a separate entity and all enjoy individual stunning Australian bush land views with magnificent ancient gums and abundant wild life.

Visitors can enjoy bush land walks on the picturesque property and bicycles are provided for those energetic guests who wish to venture further afield but not drive. Host Godfrey Gardiner also offers chauffeur driven luxury tours for a maximum of three persons that can be specifically tailored to the guests requirement or rely on Godfrey’s excellent local knowledge to devise a tour showcasing the very best of the Barossa Valley based on the guest’s indicated interests.

The Miners Cottage

The front entrance of the Miners Cottage has a deep verandah that look out over bush land views and the restored dairy. The back of the Miners Cottage looks over superb natural bush land with ancient silver gums and an abundance of native wild life. Carefully restored to incorporate all modern facilities but lose none of its heritage characteristic. Add a superb unspoiled Australian bush land setting, and you have a small slice of tranquil paradise.

Housed in the timber barn immediately adjacent The Miners Cottage, the interior of The Miners Cottage Barn has every modern convenience and also enjoys spectacular bush land views from different aspects. The Miners Cottage Barn can be booked as an independent entity or as an, add on to The Miners Cottage. The Miners Cottage Barn is fully self-contained.
